Week 3 of Co-Rec Softball featured one of the best games seen in New Paltz Intramural in recent history. This game had everything you could wish for; good defense, extra innings, and a walk off home run.
The first game of the day was a fast competitive match between Where My Pitches At? and Win and Finn. Win and Finn scored the only run in 6 innings during the top of the fourth, until Where My Pitches snuck in a run at the bottom of the seventh to tie up the game and go into an extra inning. Bobby Collelluori scored the winning home run in the bottom of the eighth, making the final score 2-1 and continuing Where My Pitches' winning streak. Dave Gardiner and Brian Romeo had 2 hits each for Where My Pitches, while Sean Garry led Win and Finn with 3.
The next game was Chromium Crushers against Infinite+. Infinite+ consistently scored one run in each inning to give them a steady lead, and although the game was close, the Crushers could not catch up. Infinite+ scored an additional 4 runs in the top of the seventh for their first win of the season taking home a 12-6 win. Ron Sampson led the team with 2 hits, while Mary Kate Nagy and Kyle Mangione each had 1 hit for the Crushers.
