As the classes wrap up before finals so do the Intramural events for the Spring 2012 semester. A lot of great competition took place this semester and over the past two days a number of champions were crowned in the Tennis, Softball, and Outdoor Soccer. Congratulations to the new championship and the Intramural Staff would like to thank everyone for another great year of competition, sportsmanship and fun.
Outdoor Soccer Champions:
Dyslexia Untied who defeated Scholastic 3-2 in the finals.
Men's Tennis Champion:
Evan Heckler handled Chris Aman 6-3,6-2 to win yet another Men's Tennis Championship
Women's Tennis Champion:
Nadeen Zohair defeated Erica Phillips, 6-3,6-1 to capture the title.
Co-Rec Softball Champions:
Where My Pitches At? outlasted Infinite+ 5-2 in in an exciting championship match. Alexa Ballestrieri had 4 hits for Where My Pitches, while Ryan Blitz had 3 for Infinite+.
Men's Softball Champions:
This was a well matched game between John Grant & the Wonderboys and Lucas Duda MVP. Both teams wanted to win badly and anxiety was high. Both teams were hitting strong hits but both defenses were strong. John grant and the Wonderboys were able to get two hits in the third making it 2-1. In the 4th both teams went three up, three down. But in the 5th the wonderboys scored two more runs to bury Lucas Duda MVP.
