ONEONTA, N.Y. – The State University of New York at New Paltz women's volleyball team came home with the Hartwick/Holiday Inn Tournament title on Saturday, finishing the weekend at 4-0 after beating The City College of New York, 3-0 (25-14, 25-14, 25-11), and topping SUNY Oneonta, 3-1 (26-28, 25-17, 25-15, 25-22).

Becca Borquist (Rhinebeck, N.Y./Rhinebeck) was named the Tournament MVP, while senior libero
Carrie Hack (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker) was selected to the All-Tournament Team.
New Paltz has now assembled a 12-match winning streak, which is its longest string of consecutive wins since it won 12 contests in a row from Sept. 15-Oct. 1, 2010. The longest win streak in program history, however, stands at 23, set by the 2009 team from Sept. 25-Nov. 12.
New Paltz rises to 24-5 overall and competes in the final round of State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Pool Play from Oct. 25-26 at Buffalo State. The Hawks face SUNY Oswego on Friday, Oct. 25, at 5 p.m. before taking on SUNY Cortland and SUNY Potsdam on Saturday, Oct. 26, at 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., respectively. CCNY falls to 8-18 overall and meets up with SUNY Purchase on Tuesday, Oct. 22, at 7 p.m. Oneonta drops to 12-15 overall and hosts Ithaca College on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
Against CCNY, Borquist keyed the attack with seven kills and a .636 hitting percentage, while sophomore setter
Lauren O'Hern (Stony Brook, N.Y./Ward Melville) dished out 14 assists in two sets coming off the bench. Junior outside hitter
Katy Herbst (Webster, N.Y./Webster Schroeder) posted a team-high eight digs, while freshman outside hitter
Chantal Ramhorst (Woodcliff Lake, N.Y./Pascack Hills) had three block assists.
Versus Oneonta, Borquist landed 12 kills and added 13 digs and eight service aces. King dished out 40 assists, while Hack corralled 24 digs. Freshman middle hitter
Morgan Roessler (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) paced the front row defensively with four block assists.
