Bovich once again led her team offensively in her second collegiate game of her career, racking up six goals on 10 attempts to go along with a team-high two assists in a 15-9 home-opening win for SUNY New Paltz over Hartwick College March 10. Bovich is averaging seven goals per game with a shooting percentage of .944 thus far this season.
Cole recorded a new season-high in kills twice this past week. Against top-ranked Springfield College, Cole tallied 19 kills and then three days later he improved on his personal best yet again, as he racked up 21 kills against Nazareth College in a crucial four-set UVC win. Nine of Cole's 21 kills came in the third set against the Golden Flyers, as he became the focal point of the Hawks offense and helped lead a massive comeback to win the set 25-23, after being down 11-3.
In SUNY New Paltz softball's season-opening weekend in Virginia March 9-10,
LaFrance, batting lead-off for the Hawks, led the team batting .538 with five runs scored, five RBIs, while adding four extra-base hits and two stolen bases. The junior shortstop recorded five put-outs, nine assists and just two errors for a fielding percentage of .875 in four games against Alleghany College, Frostburg State University, Hunter College and SUNY Cobleskill.
