The 1988 softball team earned the New York State Women’s Collegiate Athletic Association (NYSWCAA) championship title. This was the softball program’s first major championship title. The team holds the winningest record to date. They defeated SUNY Albany, SUNY Binghamton, and SUNY Stony Brook en route to the State Championship title.
