Box Score Williamsport, PA — In the consolation game of the Louis Fleming Basinger Memorial Tournament on the campus of Lycoming College, the State University of New York at New Paltz men's basketball team earned its first road victory of the season, defeating King's College (4-7) 100-89.

The Hawks (4-7) had six different scorers in double-figures and scored a season-high 100 points on 59 percent shooting from the field and 73.3 percent from the 3-point line.

SUNY New Paltz ended the first half on a 6-1 run to gain an 11-point advantage at the break, but the Monarch's re-gained the lead midway through the second half.

The score was tied twice with four lead changes before the Hawks got back on top with about 10 minutes left to play and ended with a 28-18 run to pull away with the win.

"We didn't play our best game today, but stuck with each other for the win," said SUNY New Paltz coach Keith Kenney. "Was not a great defensive effort, but we had a lot of guys contributing offensively and we kept our composure down the stretch."

Dylan Balducci led the Hawks with 24 points off the bench, knocking down 8-of-15 from the field including 6-of-9 from behind the arc, while adding six assists and three rebounds. Tristan Wisseman followed with 16 points, four rebounds and two assists, while Cory Garcia added 14 points, three boards and five assists.

The Hawks are back on their home court Friday and Saturday to take on Oswego State and SUNY Cortland at 7:30 and 3 p.m., respectively. For live updates, recaps, photos, video and more, be sure to follow @nphawks on Twitter and @newpaltzhawks on Instagram and Facebook.
