The 2011 State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Cross Country Championships will be held at Bowdoin Park in Wappingers Falls, N.Y., on Saturday, Oct. 29. Both the men’s and women’s championship will be held at Bowdoin Park and will be hosted by the State University of New York at New Paltz.
Alphabetic entries for the SUNYAC Championship including all potential competitors should be sent to the host meet director, the timing service company and the Commissioner's office by Saturday, Oct. 15. Further information, including course maps, event schedule, hotel accommodations, directions, parking and the coaches' meeting can be found below. We look forward to an exciting 2011 SUNYAC Cross Country Championship at Bowdoin Park, and wish all of the institutions the best of luck during the remainder of their seasons.

4-6 p.m.: Course open to teams
8 p.m.: Coaches meeting in Fishkill, N.Y., at Holiday Inn Express (race packets distributed)
Saturday, October 29, 2011
9 a.m.: Course open to teams
11 a.m.: Women's 6K championship race begins
12 p.m.: Men's 8K championship race begins
**Awards ceremony will begin approximately 30 minutes after the men's race ends

Fishkill - Head North on US-9N. Turn Left onto County Rd 28/Old Hopewell Rd. Turn Right onto Country Rd 28/New Hamburg Rd. Turn Right onto Main Street. Continue onto Channingville Rd. Turn Left onto Sheafe Rd. Destination will be on the Left.
From
Poughkeepsie - Head South on US-9S. Take a slight Right onto Sheafe Rd. Turn Right to stay on Sheafe Rd. Destination will be on the Right.
Parking
Teams/Officials/Workers - All teams, officials and persons that are working the Cross Country Championship will be given a parking pass to gain entrance down to the lower lots. Anyone without a parking pass will not be allowed access. All buses will be parked down in the lower lot of the park. Buses are to be turned off once they are parked and are not allowed to be idling; this causes less exhaust fumes.
Handicap Vehicles - Handicap vehicles will be allowed access to the bottom parking lots as well, but they must have the handicap tag or license plate in view as they approach our check point at the top of the park. There will be a designated area for handicap vehicles.
All Other Spectators - All other spectators will be asked to park at the entrance of the park. As they pull in there will be a grassy area to the right and the left that will be accessible to spectator parking. There will also be a parking area a little further down on the right hand side. Signs will be visible along with parking attendants to help with any issues.
Coaches' Meeting
The coaches' meeting will be held at 8 p.m. in the Holiday Inn Express in Fishkill, N.Y. Coaches will be given their packets during the meeting as well as information
regarding where teams will be placed, areas where tents can be set up and other details for the 2011 SUNYAC Cross Country Championships.
