SUNY New Paltz Athletics

Anton Shipman led the Hawks to a 1-1-1 week and a 2nd place finish at the Scarlet Raider soccer Classic. Shipman proved to be a force on the backline during the tournament as he helped the Hawks Defense allow only 2 goals in the tournament, including only 1 to Stevens, which had scored 17 goals in their first 3 games. Shipman also preserved a 2-2 tie against Cobleskill when in the 88th minute he stripped David Gardner on a breakaway. Gardner was looking to cap off a Hat-Trick and give Cobleskill the Victory. Shipman contributed on the offensive end as well as he picked up an assist against Rutgers-Newark in the Scarlet Raider Classic where he was honored as an All-Tournament selection.
