The Kenneth F. Burda Sportsmanship Award
Awarded to a student-athlete who has participated for at least three years and who demonstrates outstanding academic achievement, sportsmanship, citizenship, ethical conduct and leadership throughout his/her career beyond which is generally expected of student-athletes at SUNY New Paltz. The award, which was previously known as the "sportsmanship award," was renamed in honor of long-time administrator Dr. Kenneth F. Burda following his retirement in the summer of 1998.
