For the second consecutive week in a row, senior Melyssa Cilmi has been named New Paltz Player-of-the-Week. Cilmi helped secure a sweep over Potsdam on Sunday, May 2, going 4-for-7 with three runs and one RBI in the doubleheader.
In the opening round of the SUNYAC Tournament, Cilmi recorded one of the two hits for the Hawks against the nations sixth best pitcher, Katie Finch (Cortland). In the second round against Brockport, Cilmi was 1-for-3 with one run to pace the Hawks. She finished the four games with a .462 on-base percentage.
Cilmi finished the season with a .348 (39-112) batting average, 21 runs, 26 RBI, eight doubles and a .438 on-base percentage.
