SUNY New Paltz Athletics

Gentsch placed 27th in the 357-person Brown Division race at the Brooks Paul Short Invitational hosted by Lehigh University on Friday, besting a number of NCAA Division I, II and III runners. His time of 26:06 is the second-fastest 8K performance in the history of the Hawk men's cross country program, and he finished behind just six Division III harriers in the Brown Division race. While New Paltz finished 38th out of 40 teams, the blue and orange bested Siena College and St. Bonaventure University, two Division I programs.
