SUNY New Paltz Athletics

Garyn won the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) title with teammate Stephanie Schara at No. 1 doubles and added an individual championship No. 3 singles, helping the Hawks win their fourth-ever conference title from Friday through Sunday in Manlius, N.Y., at the 2010 SUNYAC Tennis Championships. Competing in her second year on the team after transferring from NCAA Division II University of Tampa, Garyn notched her first-ever conference championship in both singles and doubles competition. Her superb individual efforts aided New Paltz in edging rival SUNY Geneseo by six points in the team standings. The Hawks gained automatic qualification into the NCAA Division III Women’s Tennis Championships, which are to be held this upcoming spring.
