Taylor averaged 16.3 points per game, as the Hawks went 1-2 on the week, defeating SUNY Potsdam, 73-68, in overtime on Friday while falling to SUNY Oswego on Tuesday, 81-70, and SUNY Plattsburgh on Saturday, 76-62. In addition, Taylor, a guard, averaged a team-best 8.7 boards per game on the week. He scored a team-best 21 points off 10-of-17 shooting from the floor and 1-of-1 shooting from the line on Tuesday against the Lakers, helping the Hawks keep pace with league-leading Oswego. He recorded a double-double in the Hawks’ thrilling overtime victory against the Bears on Friday night, scoring 14 points and reeling in 11 boards. Finally, on Saturday versus the Cardinals, he recorded 14 points, which included 6-of-8 shooting from the charity stripe. New Paltz is 10-7 overall (6-5 SUNYAC).
