Cassius helped the Hawks go 2-2 on the week, averaging 11.85 assists per set as the team’s starting setter. He earned 154 assists, which included a match-high 69 against No. 11 Medaille College on Sunday. Cassius also dished out a match-high 44 assists against Ramapo College on Wednesday and a match-high 41 assists against No. 2 Nazareth College on Saturday. In addition, he averaged 1.46 digs per set on the week, which included a match-high 13 versus Medaille on Sunday. The Hawks downed Ramapo, 3-1, on Wednesday before defeating Hilbert College, 3-1, and losing to Nazareth, 3-1, and Medaille, 3-2, in UVC Crossover action on Saturday and Sunday at Vassar College. Cassius did not compete in New Paltz’s match with Hilbert. The Hawks are 12-10 overall and 3-6 in the UVC.
