Mignone helped the Hawks start 2-0 for the first time in program history, propelling them to a pair of wins on the week behind a .690 save percentage. She made 10 stops in a season-opening win against Ramapo College on Wednesday, as New Paltz opened the 2011 campaign with a 10-6 triumph over the Roadrunners. She then turned aside 19 shots against Farmingdale State College on Saturday in the team’s home opener, leading the Hawks to a 14-7 victory. The two wins marks only the second time in program history that New Paltz has won consecutive games.

 

She holds the league lead in both saves per game (14.50) and save percentage (.690), and her efforts in net have helped New Paltz post a conference-leading 6.50 goals-against average. SUNY Oswego and The College at Brockport have not yet competed this season.
