SUNY New Paltz Athletics

Paulicelli led the Hawk baseball team to its first win over SUNY Cortland—which was ranked at No. 11 nationally at the time of the game—since April 1, 1995, contributing to two runs in New Paltz’s 3-2 victory over the Red Dragons in game two of a league doubleheader on Saturday. Paulicelli scored the game’s second run on a stolen base in the first inning and provided the eventual margin of victory with an RBI triple in the fifth. On the week, he hit .571 (4-for-7) and helped the Hawks qualify for the SUNYAC Baseball Championship Tournament for the first time since 2001. New Paltz is 20-16 overall (9-9 SUNYAC).
