Garafola helped the Hawks go 2-1-0 on the week, netting two goals and gaining one assist. He scored on a penalty kick against NYU-Polytechnic at the Bard Classic on Saturday, leading New Paltz to a 1-0 victory. Garafola then had a goal and an assist against Green Mountain College on Sunday, aiding the Hawks in their 4-0 triumph. His efforts warranted Tournament MVP honors, and New Paltz claimed the Bard Classic title. The Hawks return to the pitch on Tuesday, Sept. 13, when they contest Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
