Wischoff earned a spot in the 2011 NCAA Division III Women’s Cross Country Championships with her performance at Saturday’s NCAA Division III Atlantic Regional Cross Country Championships hosted by St. Lawrence University in Canton, N.Y. She posted a program-record time of 22:31.0 in the 6K women’s race, finishing 14th out of 256 runners. With her performance, Wischoff now owns the top three times in program history at the 6K distance, previously running a 23:07 at the 2011 Brooks Paul Short Run on Sept. 30 and a 23:09.84 at the 2011 SUNYAC Championships on Oct. 29. As a result of her 14th-place finish, Wischoff also earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Region honors. She will compete at the NCAA Championships hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh at the Lake Breeze Golf Course in Winneconne, Wis., on Saturday at noon ET. This is Wischoff’s third New Paltz Athlete of the Week honor this season.
