SUNY New Paltz Athletics

Devine opened the men’s basketball 2011-12 campaign with two consecutive double-double efforts at the Radisson Invitational over the weekend. He paced New Paltz in its season-opening, 85-79, victory against Centenary (N.J.) College on Friday with a career-high 28 points while also collecting 12 rebounds. In the Hawks’ 93-59 loss to host University of Scranton in the championship game on Saturday, Devine was the only player on either side to bring down double-digit rebounds (11). He also contributed 12 points in the Hawks’ effort. This is Devine’s first New Paltz Athlete of the Week honor this season.
