Devine averaged 24.3 points and 9.3 rebounds per game in New Paltz’s 1-2 week. He netted 27 points in the Hawks’ 86-72 loss to SUNY Plattsburgh on Tuesday before chipping in with 10 points and 14 boards in an 84-63 setback against Montclair State University on Thursday. Devine enjoyed a career game on Saturday in a 95-74 win against SUNY Oneonta, however, draining a career-high 36 points off 14-of-22 shooting from the floor—including a 6-of-10 mark from long range—and 2-of-2 shooting from the free-throw line. He also added seven rebounds to his line. Devine ranks first in the league in scoring (21.9 points per game) and rebounds (10.3 per game), and he also boasts the second-highest free-throw percentage in the SUNYAC at 90.9 percent (50-of-55). New Paltz (4-5, 2-2 SUNYAC) is idle until the turn of the calendar year and will next face non-conference St. John Fisher College on Tuesday, Jan. 3, at 3 p.m. in Rochester, N.Y. This is Devine's third New Paltz Athlete of the Week honor this year.
