SUNY New Paltz Athletics

McCullough was named to the 2012 SUNYAC Women’s Basketball Championship Tournament’s All-Tournament Team after the second-seeded Hawks’ 66-63 overtime loss to third-seeded SUNY Oneonta in the semifinal round. McCullough scored 13 points and added three steals, two blocks and two rebounds. Her two blocks gave her sole possession of the career program record for blocked shots, as she now boasts 105 on her career with one more year remaining of eligibility. On Tuesday in the quarterfinal round against seventh-seeded SUNY Plattsburgh, she scored 21 points in 24 minutes with three steals, helping New Paltz win by a count of 81-69. She finished the 2011-12 campaign as the Hawks’ leading scorer (13.0 points per game), and she also averaged 1.2 blocks per game. New Paltz finished the season at 18-9 (15-3 SUNYAC) and qualified for the SUNYAC Tournament for the sixth straight year. This marks McCullough’s second New Paltz Athlete of the Week honor this year.
