Suzuka earned All-American honors at the 2012 NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships in two separate events on Friday and Saturday. On Friday, Suzuka finished 11th overall in the 100 backstroke with a final time of 56.57, after posting a time of 56.33 in qualifying, enough to reach the consolation final and earn All-American Honorable Mention. On Saturday, the junior placed eighth overall in the 200 backstroke event, coming in at a time of 2:02.66 to earn All-American honors. Suzuka qualified for that championship final with a preliminary time of 2:01.34 in the early heats. Suzuka earned the first All-American honors for the New Paltz women's swimming program since 2008 with her performance at the meet. New Paltz finished tied for 34th place in the women’s overall team standings thanks to Suzuka’s 17 points earned.
