Grann threw two complete-game victories this past week for the Hawks (12-8), with the second win coming one out away from earning a seven-inning no-hitter. In the first game of a Saturday doubleheader with SUNYAC opponent Plattsburgh, Grann allowed only two hits, both coming with two outs in the seventh of a 5-0 Hawk victory. The sophomore hurler did not walk a batter and struck out a career-high-tying eight Cardinals. Prior to that, Grann threw another complete-game on Tuesday in a contest scheduled for seven innings versus Plymouth State. In New Paltz's 3-2 triumph, the Oceanside, N.Y. native allowed seven hits and two earned runs in his seven innings of work, striking out four batters. The Hawks open their home portion of the schedule on this Friday against SUNYAC adversary The College at Brockport. First pitch at the newly-renovated Loren Campbell Memorial Field is scheduled for 3 p.m.
