Tierney went 2-0 at flight six singles in a 1-1 week for the Hawks. On Friday against St. Lawrence University, she defeated her singles opponent, 6-2, 1-6, 10-5, at flight six, but New Paltz lost, 6-3. On Saturday versus SUNY Plattsburgh, she topped her counterpart by a 6-1, 6-1 final at flight six singles, as the Hawks cruised to a 9-0 victory. For the season, Tierney is 10-4 overall in singles play and is riding a five-match winning streak. New Paltz (9-3) returns to action on April 10 against the Stevens Institute of Technology on the North Tennis Courts.
