Monaco batted .500 (10-for-20) with nine RBI, three doubles and five runs scored in a 3-3 week for the Hawks. Monaco went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run scored and a double in the front end of a doubleheader against Mount Saint Mary College on April 17 before batting 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs scored and two doubles in the nightcap. New Paltz won game one of that doubleheader, 9-1, before prevailing, 7-1, in game two. She then went 4-for-5 with three RBI and two runs scored in game one of a doubleheader against SUNY Oswego on April 20 before batting 1-for-2 in game two. The Hawks won game one, 10-7, but lost game two, 9-1, in six innings. Finally, on April 21, she went 1-for-3 in the front end of a doubleheader against SUNY Cortland before drawing a walk and stealing a base in the nightcap. New Paltz was swept by Cortland, losing game one, 5-3, before falling, 7-6, in game two. For the year, she leads the team and ranks second in the SUNYAC in RBI (31), and she ranks second on the team in batting average (.385). New Paltz (18-15, 9-7 SUNYAC) next squares off with non-conference Union (N.Y.) College on Wednesday, April 24, in a 3 p.m. doubleheader at Mary Gray Deane Field.
