Verso performed well in her first appearance in a SUNYAC Tournament, as she was named to the 2013 SUNYAC Softball Championship Tournament All-Tournament Team. She went 1-for-1 with two walks and a double in the Hawks' 5-2 loss to SUNY Cortland on Thursday, May 2, in New Paltz's opening game of the six-team, double-elimination tournament. Verso went on to bat 1-for-3 with an RBI and a double in an elimination contest against The College at Brockport later on in the day, and the Hawks fell by a 6-4 count. New Paltz (20-19, 11-7 SUNYAC) enjoyed its first winning season since 2010, and it qualified for its eighth-ever SUNYAC Tournament, doing so under the direction of first-year head coach Tony Ciccarello.
