Senior midfielder Bernardo Menendez scored an impressive goal late in the first half of the New Paltz men's soccer team's season opener against Vassar College, redirecting a rebound past the Brewers' keeper to tie the game with eight seconds left on the clock. The goal was the exchange student's first as a Hawk.
