McKeveny scored a game-tying goal with 3:32 left in regulation in the SUNYAC Field Hockey Championship Tournament final on Saturday against SUNY Cortland, knotting the score at 4-all. As a result of that game-tying score, she was named the Tournament MVP. After two overtime periods, New Paltz won a sudden-victory shootout, coming away with a 5-4 win to capture its second-ever SUNYAC title and its second in as many years. McKeveny currently has seven goals and seven assists to her ledger for the season, and New Paltz (13-8) faces No. 10 William Smith College in the first round of the NCAA Division III Field Hockey Championship Tournament on Wednesday, Nov. 13, in Geneva, N.Y., at 4 p.m.
