Taskindoust won two individual events and contributed toward a first-place relay finish, as the Hawks fell, 144-135, to Vassar College on Saturday. He touched first in the 200 freestyle (1:52.96) and the 500 freestyle (5:11.54) and also contributed to New Paltz’s first-place performance in the 400 freestyle relay (3:25.91). Taskindoust nearly caught the first-place finisher in the 200 individual medley with a strong freestyle leg, but he wound up finishing as the event’s runner-up in 2:09.01. New Paltz (0-3) returns to action at the ECAC Winter Championships from Friday-Sunday, Dec. 6-8, at Lehman College.
