Burgess batted .429 and achieved a .571 slugging percentage in an 0-2 week for the sixth-seeded Hawks at the SUNYAC Tournament. She went 2-for-3 with one run scored and a double in New Paltz’s 12-2 loss in five innings against top-seeded and eventual SUNYAC champion SUNY Oneonta on Thursday. On Thursday and Friday in a 6-3 elimination-game to fifth-seeded Buffalo State, Burgess hit 1-for-4 with one RBI and a stolen base. She finished the season with team-highs in batting average (.390), runs scored (25), hits (41), doubles (11), triples (5), slugging percentage (.619), hit by pitches (17) and on-base percentage (.484). New Paltz went 10-24 overall (7-11 SUNYAC) in 2014 and qualified for the SUNYAC Tournament for the second year in a row.
