Gonzalez drew three starts in an 0-2-1 week for the Hawks. He started for New Paltz against Union (N.Y.) College on Wednesday, but the Hawks fell to the Dutchmen, 2-0. In the team's SUNYAC opener on Friday against SUNY Cortland, he took two shots in the Hawks' 2-0 loss to the Red Dragons. Finally, against SUNY Oswego on Saturday, he scored on a penalty kick in the 25th minute, which proved to be the Hawks' only goal in a 1-1 draw against the Lakers. For the season, he leads the team in goals (4), assists (2) and points (10). New Paltz (3-5-1, 0-1-1 SUNYAC) returns to action on Friday, Oct. 3, visiting SUNY Geneseo for a 4 p.m. tilt.
