Borquist averaged 3.73 kills per set, leading the Hawks to a 3-0 week. After finishing its SUNYAC schedule at 9-0, New Paltz earned its second consecutive SUNYAC regular-season title and the No. 1 seed into the SUNYAC Tournament. In addition to her kills average, she hit .294 and averaged 3.27 digs per set, 0.64 blocks per set, 0.55 service aces per set and 0.09 assists per set. Borquist floored 18 kills and added 13 digs in the Hawks' 3-1 win over SUNY Fredonia on Friday during the first day of SUNYAC pool play. She then tallied 14 kills and 10 digs in New Paltz's 3-1 triumph over SUNY Geneseo on Saturday before closing out the weekend with a nine-kill, 13-dig performance in a 3-0 victory over SUNY Oswego. For the season, Borquist leads the SUNYAC in kills per set (3.48) and is hitting .223 (355-128-1,020). New Paltz (25-5, 9-0 SUNYAC) next hosts Vassar College on Wednesday, Oct. 29, at 7 p.m.
