SUNY New Paltz Athletics

Scher posted a time of 25:46.0 (5:11 mile pace) to finish fourth overall at Saturday's 2014 State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Cross Country Championships, held at The College at Brockport. New Paltz finished fifth of 10 teams at the event, averaging a time of 26:48 on the 8K course.

By finishing fourth, Scher earned First Team All-SUNYAC status and an induction into the SUNYAC Cross Country Hall of Fame for finishing in the top five. This was the highest finish ever for any runner (men's & women's) at SUNYACs in program history.

Scher and the Hawks will next compete in the 2014 NCAA Division III Atlantic Regionals on Nov. 15 at 11 a.m. hosted by the University of Rochester at Genesee Valley State Park.
