Granan competed on a pair of relays that placed among the top four at the Tampa Relay Carnival on Saturday, as the Hawks placed fourth out of five teams in the final overall team standings, which included two NCAA Division II programs. Granan swam a 1:12.22 off a flat start in the 100 breaststroke to lead off New Paltz’s 400 breaststroke relay, as the Hawks placed third with a time of 4:49.55. Later in the meet, she charted the second-fastest breaststroke split (1:11.37) among all competitors in the 400 medley relay, as the Hawks finished fourth with a standard of 4:17.66. New Paltz returns to action next on Friday, Jan. 16, at 4 p.m. when it hosts SUNY Cortland.
