Sowah averaged a double-double a game (11 ppg, 13 rpg) in a 1-1 week for the Hawks. Sowah, who has eight double-doubles this season, also averaged five assists per game and shot 52.6 percent (10-of-19) from the field. He scored 11 points off 5-of-7 shooting from the floor and added 12 rebounds and six assists in the Hawks' 80-71 overtime win over SUNY Oswego on Friday. Sowah then scored 11 points and collected 14 rebounds and four assists on Saturday in New Paltz's 57-48 loss to SUNY Cortland. For the season, Sowah ranks second in the SUNYAC in rebounds per game (10.1) and is tied for 12th in the conference in points per game (13.6). New Paltz (8-9, 6-4 SUNYAC) next hosts SUNY Oneonta on Tuesday, Feb. 3, at 5:30 p.m.
