Husmann led the No. 4 ranked Hawks to a 2-1 week, falling to No. 8 Springfield College, 3-2, before knocking off Brooklyn College and Cairn University on Saturday. Husmann was sensational on the offensive end, tallying 28 total kills and a .735 hitting percentage (28-3-34) despite playing in two of the three matches. Against Springfield on Wednesday, Feb. 25, Husmann tallied a match-high 22 kills and a .704 hitting percentage (22-3-27), which is a new Hawk Center record in a five-set match and ranks second best in single match program history. Husmann also contributed two aces, two digs and two block assists. Against Cairn on Saturday, Husmann notched six kills and a .857 hitting percentage (6-0-7). The junior also registered three digs and one block assist. Husmann currently leads all of Division III with a .531 hitting percentage (97-21-143). New Paltz (8-3) next hosts top-ranked Kean University on Wednesday, March 4, at 7 p.m.
