Perhacs extended her hitting streak to eight games this past week, batting .625 (15-for-24) while collecting 10 runs scored, seven RBI and five doubles in a 5-3 week for the Hawks. She batted 2-for-4 with two runs scored in a 6-3 win over Spalding (Ky.) University on Monday before hitting 3-for-4 with one run scored, one RBI and one double in a 3-2 victory versus the College of Mount Saint Vincent later on in the day. On Tuesday in a 3-2 loss to Salem College, she went 2-for-3 at the plate. Perhacs batted 1-for-3 in a 5-1 loss to Frostburg State University on Wednesday before breaking out with a 4-for-4 performance that included five RBI, four runs scored and three doubles in a 24-0 shutout of York (N.Y.) College on Thursday. Finally, on Friday, she went 2-for-3 with two runs scored, an RBI and a double in an 11-0 triumph over York before going 1-for-3 with one run scored in an 8-3 loss to Frostburg State in the nightcap. For the season, Perhacs leads the SUNYAC in batting average (.593). New Paltz (7-3) next visits the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute on Wednesday, March 25, for a 3 p.m. doubleheader.
