Ackerman was named the SUNYAC Tournament MVP, as the Hawks won their fourth straight conference title. She took three shots, two of which were on goal, in the Hawks' 2-1 win over SUNY Geneseo on Wednesday in the SUNYAC Tournament semifinals. Ackerman then scored New Paltz's first goal in a 4-1 come-from-behind victory over SUNY Cortland in the SUNYAC Tournament final on Saturday. On the season, Ackerman has scored five goals and added four assists for 14 points. New Paltz (15-5) next hosts Simmons College in the first round of the NCAA Division III Tournament on Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 1:30 p.m.
