Koenig won two individual events and competed on an event-winning relay in the Hawks' 116-89 loss to NCAA Division II Pace University on Saturday. He clocked a 22.10 to win the 50 freestyle, which is the second-fastest time so far this season in the SUNYAC in that event, before winning the 100 freestyle in 49.20. In the meet's final event, the 400 freestyle relay, he closed a gap of more than a second during the anchor leg, splitting a 48.42 to lift the Hawks to a 3:17.60 win in the event. New Paltz (1-2) next competes at the MIT Invitational hosted by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from Friday-Sunday, Dec. 4-6.
