McCulloch won two individual events and participated on four event-winning relays in a 2-0 week for the Hawks. She placed first in two relays and one individual event in a 174-88 win over SUNY Cortland on Friday. She swam a 26.47 butterfly leg on the Hawks' first-place 200 medley relay (1:54.46) and a 25.71 leg on New Paltz's first-place 200 freestyle relay (1:42.72). Individually against Cortland, she touched first in the 50 freestyle (25.77) and second in the 100 butterfly (1:02.62). On Saturday, she swam on two event-winning relays and won an individual event in a 136-111 triumph over Mount Saint Mary College. McCulloch led off the 200 medley relay with a 29.66 backstroke split, helping the Hawks win the event in 1:54.15, and in the meet's final event, the 200 freestyle relay, she led off with a 24.47 and aided in the Hawks' pool-record time of 1:38.64. Her leadoff split serves as the second-fastest time in the 50 freestyle in the SUNYAC so far this season. She also won the 50 backstroke (29.64) against the Knights. McCulloch holds the second-fastest time in the SUNYAC this season in the 100 butterfly (58.73), which she clocked at the MIT Winter Invitational last month. New Paltz (4-1) next visits Catskill Cup rival SUNY Oneonta on Saturday, Jan. 23, at 1 p.m.
