Woessner fashioned a .556 (16-1-27) hitting percentage as the Hawks went 3-0 this past weekend at the 2016 Granite State Challenge co-hosted by Daniel Webster College and Rivier University. In 10 sets, Woessner averaged 1.60 kills per set and 0.60 digs per set and collected a total of 11 blocks for a 1.10 per-set average. On Friday, he pounded down five kills in six attempts and added five total blocks, three digs and two service aces in a 3-1 victory over Daniel Webster. Against Rivier on Saturday, he tallied 10 kills and hit .562 while chipping in with four total blocks, two digs and two service aces in a 3-1 Hawk triumph. Finally, versus Mount Ida College, he floored one kill and added two total blocks, one dig and one service ace in a 3-0 New Paltz victory. New Paltz (5-2) next visits NCAA Division I Sacred Heart University on Wednesday, Jan. 27, at 7 p.m.
