Woessner hit .511 (30-6-47) as the No. 2-ranked Hawks went 3-0 on the week, including opening UVC play at 2-0. For the week, he averaged 2.50 kills per set, 1.17 blocks per set, 0.33 service aces per set and 0.25 digs per set. On Tuesday against Ramapo College, he hit .286 (7-3-14) and posted six total blocks, as the Hawks topped the Roadrunners, 3-1. Woessner contributed 12 kills in a .450 clip and floored the match-clinching service ace in New Paltz's 3-2 win over the No. 6 Stevens Institute of Technology on Sunday before hitting .864 (11-0-13) and tallying 11 kills, one service ace and five total blocks (one solo, four assists) in the Hawks' 3-0 win over No. 4 Nazareth College. On the season, Woessner leads the UVC in hitting percentage (.554) while ranking among the UVC leaders in service aces per set (0.49, third) and blocks per set (0.95, 10th). New Paltz (10-2, 2-0 UVC), which is riding an eight-match winning streak and has yet to lose to an NCAA Division III team this season, next visits Bard College for a 7 p.m. UVC match on Wednesday, Feb. 17.
