Koenig participated on four top-four relays at the SUNYAC Championships, including the conference-record-setting 400 freestyle relay, and scored points in all three of his individual events in the Hawks' second-place finish at the meet. Koenig's most memorable performance came anchoring New Paltz's first-place 400 freestyle relay in the meet's final event (3:05.14), which broke the conference overall, conference meet and program records. He also swam on the Hawks' second-place 200 freestyle relay (1:23.73), third-place 200 medley relay (1:33.34) and fourth-place 400 medley relay, with the 200 freestyle relay and 200 medley relay setting program records. Individually, Koenig earned Second-Team All-SUNYAC honors and established a program record with a third-place finish in the 50 freestyle (21.12) while finishing fifth in the 100 freestyle (46.55) and tying for 13th in the 100 butterfly (53.39).
