Rutcofsky lasted eight full innings in game one of a doubleheader against SUNY Potsdam on Wednesday, yielding two runs off nine hits and three walks while striking out five in an 8-2 extra-inning victory. She went on to pitch five innings in relief in game two, earning the win with a seven-strikeout performance that saw her give up just one unearned run off two hits in a 6-4, 11-inning win. In the front end of a twinbill versus SUNY Oswego on Friday, she allowed two runs off five hits while striking out a career-high-tying 10 batters in a 2-0 loss before shouldering the loss against SUNY Cortland on Saturday in the front end of a doubleheader. On the year, she leads the team in ERA (3.34) while ranking third in the SUNYAC in strikeouts (97). New Paltz (18-17, 9-9 SUNYAC) earned the No. 5 seed in the double-elimination SUNYAC Tournament at Cortland and will face off with SUNY Plattsburgh in its first game on Thursday, May 5, at 11 a.m.
