Cavanagh placed 30th of 303 runners at the 2016 NCAA Division III Atlantic Regional Championships with a school-record six-kilometer time of 21:57.6 to earn All-Region honors, becoming the third female runner in school history to do so. Cavanagh and the Hawks placed 15th of 43 teams at the meet.
