SUNY New Paltz Athletics

Courtney Irby from the State University of New York at New Paltz women’s basketball team helped the Hawks go 1-1 in conference play this past week, scoring double-figure points in both contests. Irby recorded a double-double 19 points and 10 boards in New Paltz’s 70-64 loss to SUNY Cortland on Tuesday and notched 14 points and nine boards in the 61-48 victory over SUNY Oneonta on Saturday. Irby currently ranks 10th in the SUNYAC in points per game (11.7) and seventh in rebounds per game (7.6).
