Bettke averaged 22.5 points per game this weekend to help the Hawks to a 2-0 record and the No. 2 seed in the upcoming SUNYAC Tournament, earning the first-round bye. In the process, Bettke earned her second SUNYAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week honor this season.
The sophomore enjoyed a career-high 23 points against Plattsburgh on Feb. 17, going 8-of-20 from the field and 5-of-7 from long distance. Bettke also notched three boards and two steals versus the Cardinals. Against Potsdam on Feb. 18, Bettke registered 22 points, going 8-of-12 from the field and 3-of-6 from beyond the arc. She also provided two boards and two steals in victory.
Bettke and the No. 2-seeded Hawks (16-8) will face the winner of the No. 3 Oneonta/No. 6 Brockport game on Friday, Feb. 24 at 5:30 p.m. in the SUNYAC Semifinals, hosted by Geneseo.
