Batcheller was awarded the SUNYAC/PrestoSports Women's Tennis Singles Athlete of the Week for the week of Sept. 7. Batcheller helped SUNY New Paltz remain undefeated early in their season, sitting at 2-0 after opening weekend. Opening the season against SUNY Cortland Friday, Batcheller and doubles partner Alexandra Dratch took an 8-3 win at second doubles. Batcheller then went on to put up a 6-0,6-0 win in third singles. Batcheller continued her hot streak against Oswego State on Saturday, as her and Dratch took an 8-0 sweep in doubles, as well as a 6-0, 6-2 win at third singles, helping to lead the Hawks to yet another 9-0 sweep over a SUNYAC rival.
Batcheller and the Hawks are back in action on Wednesday when they visit The College of New Jersey in Ewing, New Jersey.
