Varner, a junior midfielder, helped the Hawks maintain a three-game winning streak that dates back to Sept. 5.

Against Merchant Marine on Sept. 8, Varner tallied an assist and had one shot in the Hawks’ 3-1 victory. Varner also scored the only goal in a 1-0 SUNY New Paltz victory over visiting Farmingdale State on Saturday, Sept. 11. On the season, the finance major has registered four shots (three on goal), with one goal and two assists.
