New Paltz, NY — The State University of New York at New Paltz held its first annual End of the Year Award Ceremony in the Hawk Center May 9, revealing department award and superlative award winners.
Members of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, chaired by softball junior Kelly Marmorowski helped put the event together, inviting back alumni Schuyler Mann (men's soccer, '20), Olivia Ingalsbe (women's soccer, '21), Taylor LaFrance (softball, '20), Matt Grace (men's volleyball, '20), Maddie Van Pelt (women's volleyball/basketball, '20) and Carly Croteau (field hockey, '20) to present major department awards throughout the night. SAAC also voted on different superlative awards, releasing a fan poll of who should be named.
Along with revealing award winners, representatives of all 17 programs went up and spoke about their respective seasons, recapping the year that was. The department also recognized all the Hawks Leadership Academy graduates and first-year Chi Alpha Sigma inductees.
